How an ask travels
Draft an ask, endorse the words, pick how it travels, and take it back before it goes. What your lead reads, and in what order.
The Signals tab is where something leaves your room, by your hand. Venting stays in your conversation with Teal. Only an ask travels, and only after you endorse it word for word.
Draft
Tap New ask. Two fields: the ask, and why it matters. The ask is something specific someone could do: a different project, a changed ritual, a conversation, a move. Teal does not rewrite either field. A draft is visible to no one but you.
Endorse
Tap Endorse. The confirmation says it plainly: Teal will send exactly this ask and this why, nothing rewritten. If the text changed since you read it, you are asked to read it once more.
Choose how it travels
Three ways, always all three:
- With your name. Your lead reads it knowing it came from you.
- Without your name. Your lead reads the ask and your why. No name is attached to it. It goes whether or not anyone else raises the same thing.
- Into the Mirror only. Your lead gets no signal at all. It joins the pattern the whole team reads in the next Mirror, and it lands in your contributions first, where you can still pull it.
Take it back
Until you tap Send, Take back returns the ask to a draft you can edit or delete.
What your lead sees
Asks sent with a name or without one arrive in your lead's inbox, which no other member sees. Every entry shows Teal's framing first, then your ask, then your why. An entry sent without your name carries none anywhere in the product. When your lead marks an entry as read, that stays on their own device, and no one is notified.
