Connect Strava to Blue, and your training joins the conversation.

Strava knows what you did. Blue knows why it mattered, what the rest of the week looked like, and what you said you were training for. Connect the two and your movement stops living in a silo.

The short answer

Connect Strava and Blue can read your training mid-conversation: ask how far you ran this week and the answer arrives in the chat, drawn from your real activities. Blue reaches into Strava when the conversation calls for it, on Pro, through a connection that is opt-in, scoped to your own account, and revocable at any time.

What Blue can see

Your recent activities

Runs, rides, swims, whatever you log. Blue can pull up what you actually did, with distance, time, pace, and elevation, the moment it comes up in conversation.

Your training in aggregate

Totals across a stretch of time: how this week compares to last, how the month is adding up, whether the long runs are actually getting longer.

The story around the numbers

The part a dashboard can’t do. Blue holds why you started running again, what you said about the race in March, how training sits next to work and rest. The numbers arrive with their context attached.

The Strava connection is reach-on-demand: Blue reads your training when your conversation calls for it, rather than monitoring a feed in the background. That is the App Library model, and it is deliberately different from Blue’s core stack, where your calendar, tasks, and notes stay continuously synced. Your training enters the picture when it belongs there: in a check-in, a weekly review, a conversation about energy.

Things you can say

Mid-conversation
how far did I run this week?what did my training look like this month?compare this week to the week before the racedid I actually rest on my rest days?bring my runs into the weekly review
A Thursday, for example

It’s Thursday evening and you mention, in passing, that the week got away from you. Blue asks about the running, because running has been part of every good week since February. You’re not sure you got out much. Blue reaches into Strava: two runs, fourteen kilometers, both before Wednesday. Not a judgment, just the record, inside a conversation that also knows about the deadline that ate the back half of your week. You decide Saturday morning is the long run, Blue sets the reminder, and the card sits there in the chat: small, visible, done. The next weekly review will remember that this was the week you chose to protect it.

Who this is for

People whose training carries the week

If movement is where your mood, focus, and sleep get decided, connecting Strava lets the companion that holds your whole life actually see it.

Runners with one eye on a goal

Training for something months away is mostly a memory problem: what you said in March has to survive until race week. Compounding memory is precisely the thing Blue is for.

Anyone tired of apps that don’t talk

Strava knows your runs and nothing else. Your calendar knows your meetings and nothing else. Blue is where they land in one picture.

Where it fits in a life

In Blue’s twelve-dimension frame, Strava feeds Health most directly, with Rest close behind: training load and recovery are two halves of one conversation. And because the weekly review is written from your actual week, connecting Strava means movement shows up there too, next to work and everything else that happened.

Honest answers

What does connecting Strava to Blue actually do?

It lets Blue read your Strava data inside a conversation: recent activities with distance, time, pace, and elevation, plus how your training adds up over time. You ask, or the topic comes up, and Blue reaches into Strava on the spot. Every read shows up as a card in the chat, so nothing happens silently.

Does Blue watch my Strava in the background?

No. App Library connections are reach-on-demand: Blue reads Strava when your conversation calls for it. Continuous background sync is how Blue treats its core stack (Google Calendar, Todoist, Notion). If that distinction matters to you, good: it is the real difference between the two layers, and this page would rather teach it than blur it.

Which tier do I need to connect Strava?

Integrations, including Strava and the rest of the 32-app App Library, are part of Pro. The 14-day trial includes everything, no card, so you can connect Strava and feel what changes before deciding anything.

Is my Strava data private?

Yes. The connection is opt-in, scoped to reading your own account, and revocable at any time. Your data is never sold and never used to train foundation models, the same as everything else you share with Blue.

Can Blue coach my training?

Blue is a companion, not a coach, and it won’t hand you a training plan. What it does instead is remember why you run, see training next to the rest of your life, and ask the questions a plan never will, like whether a tired week calls for an easier one.
