Incognito chats
A chat Blue never remembers: how to start one, what is and is not kept, and how it counts toward your message cap.
Some things you want to think through without them becoming part of what Blue knows about you. An incognito chat is for that.
Starting one
Open an incognito chat from the chat header. It looks like a normal conversation with Blue, and Blue answers with the same care. The difference is what happens afterwards.
What is not kept
Nothing said in an incognito chat is remembered, indexed or summarized. It does not enter the nightly summary, it does not shape your Vision or your Today page, and it is not searchable from the history drawer. Blue's memory of you is exactly what it was before you opened it.
Deleting one
Delete, on the incognito chat itself, removes it for good, everywhere, on every device. There is nothing to recover afterwards, which is the point.
What still applies
- The message cap. Incognito messages count toward your plan's cap: 15 per rolling 24 hours on Free, 60 on Plus, 120 on Pro. Each message frees up 24 hours after it was sent.
- Live conversation is not offered inside an incognito chat. Listen on a reply works as usual.
- Attachments follow your plan as they do anywhere else: photos and voice notes on every plan, files on Plus and Pro.
Incognito and your normal thread
Your normal thread is untouched by an incognito chat. Blue does not bring an incognito topic up later, in chat, in a check-in or in a review.
When to use it
An incognito chat suits a one-off question you would rather not have on record, a rant you don't want remembered, or a decision you want to talk through before deciding whether it belongs in your story. If you later decide it does belong, say so in your normal thread in your own words; the incognito chat itself stays unrecorded.
Privacy
Incognito is part of how Blue treats your data generally: your data is never sold, your conversations are not used to train models beyond your own experience with Blue, and everything is encrypted in transit and at rest. Deleting your account erases your conversations at once. See Privacy and your data.
