Joining your team
Your lead sends the invitation, you sign in with one account on web and phone, and your room opens. Nothing to buy.
Your organization set up the team and its seats on the web. You join the seat your lead already made for you, and there is nothing to buy in the app.
The invitation
Your lead sends an invitation to your email address. On the phone, open that email on the phone and tap the link; it opens in Teal. On the web, the same link opens the invitation page. You sign in first, with email, Google, or Apple. Use the address the invitation was sent to; a different account sees a message saying so. If the link has expired, ask your lead for a new one.
The card shows who invited you and to which team. Tap Join and you land in your room.
What you see first
The Companion tab opens on Teal's greeting: "What is on your mind about work today?" Under it: "Private to you. Nothing here reaches your team unless you send it." When your lead has declared the team's mission, it sits in one pinned line above the conversation. Tap it to read the values, the goals, and how the team runs.
The header carries your team's name. Two more tabs sit beside Companion: Signals, where an ask you shape leaves your room by your hand, and Mirror, the one page your whole team reads together.
One account, both places
Sign in with the same account on the web and on the phone. Your conversations, your work profile, and your drafts are the same in both.
Your lead never reads your room
The lead's seat adds an inbox and admin. It never adds a view into your conversation. This is not a setting you or they can change; it is how Teams is built. See What Teal never does.
