Connecting Apple Reminders

Letting Blue read, add, change and complete your Apple Reminders from the iPhone or Mac app, and choosing where new tasks go (Pro).

If your to-dos live in Apple Reminders, Blue can work with them from the Blue app on your iPhone or Mac. The connection is made on the device, because that is where Reminders lives. It is a Pro feature.

Connecting

Open the app, go to Integrations, then Apps, and tap Connect on the Apple Reminders card. The system asks whether Blue may access your reminders. Allow it, and Blue can see them from then on.

If you declined the permission earlier, the card opens your device's Settings so you can turn it on there.

What Blue can do

  • Read your reminders, so "what's on my list for today?" gets a real answer
  • Add a reminder when you mention something worth capturing
  • Change one: a new due date, a new title
  • Complete one when you tell Blue it is done

You steer all of this in chat. There is no separate task screen inside Blue; the list stays in Reminders where it was. Your reminders also show as a card on your Today page.

Where new tasks go

If you also connect Todoist, a setting called New tasks go to on the Apps screen picks which one Blue uses when you ask it to capture a task: Reminders or Todoist. Blue reads both regardless; the setting only decides where a new task lands.

How changes land

Changes Blue makes are applied by the app on your iPhone or Mac, so they land when that device syncs. Blue reads your reminders through the app on your device as well, which is why the connection is made there rather than on the web.

Apple Calendar and Todoist

Apple Calendar connects the same way, from a card of its own under Apps, and Blue can read and write there too. See Connecting Apple Calendar. If your tasks live in Todoist instead, see Connecting Todoist.

Blue's own reminders

The reminders you ask Blue for in chat ("remind me Sunday evening to prep for the week") are Blue's own and live in Rhythms, not in Apple Reminders. Connecting Apple Reminders does not move them. See Reminders, prompts, and check-ins.

The tier

Apple Reminders is part of Pro, like every app integration. During the 14-day trial you have full access. If a trial lapses to Free, Blue stops working in connected apps until you upgrade; the connection stays saved.
