Voice notes, photos, and files
What you can send Blue in chat and what it can do with each, by plan.
Life doesn't happen in typed sentences, and talking to Blue doesn't have to either. Chat accepts more than text — here's what you can send, and honestly what each plan does with it.
What you can send
- Voice notes — talk instead of typing. Recording works in the app and in the messengers you've connected.
- Photos and images — a whiteboard after a planning session, a page from a book, a moment you want to mark.
- Documents and PDFs — something you're reading, a draft you're working through, paperwork you want to think out loud about.
- Video — short clips, where your channel supports sending them.
Sending works across the surfaces you already use: the web portal, the iOS/Android app, and Telegram, WhatsApp, or Discord. Telegram is the richest of the messengers — it handles albums and media particularly smoothly.
What Blue does with it — the honest tier line
Deep attachment understanding is a Pro capability. On Pro, Blue genuinely processes what you send — it listens to voice notes, reads images, works through documents, and can even take in video. What you send becomes part of the conversation and, like everything else, part of what compounds in Blue's memory of you.
On Free and Plus, text is the reliable medium — rich media understanding isn't part of those plans. If you're unsure whether it landed, Blue will tell you honestly rather than pretending it saw something it didn't. (Every new account starts on a 14-day Pro trial, so you can feel the difference firsthand before deciding.)
Blue replies in text
One thing we'd rather be plain about than clever: Blue's replies come as text. Voice note replies from Blue aren't a generally available feature today. You can talk to Blue out loud; it answers in writing.
Blue can also make documents
The street runs both ways. On Plus and Pro, Blue can generate PDF documents for you — ask it to turn a plan, a reflection, or a summary into something you can keep or share, and it produces the file right in chat.
A note on memory
Whatever you send lives inside your one continuous conversation, on whatever channel you sent it from — so a photo shared on Telegram is part of the same history you'll see on the web. How long Blue's working memory reaches back depends on your plan; see How Blue's memory works.
