The record

What happened and what you agreed, in your own words. Kinds, proposing, Confirm, Edit, Decline and Release, stances on events, and Bring this up.

The record is the space's own structure: what happened and what was agreed, never what anyone felt. Each person is the only author of their own experience. Everyone in the space can read it, and your counselor can read the confirmed part.

Kinds

Every space starts with a set of kinds. Event and repair are dated things that happened. Agreement, commitment, rule of engagement, understanding, value and vision hold what you have settled. "Something to figure out" holds open items. Plan groups commitments with a horizon. "What I need to be myself here" is one person's own words. Suggestion holds what a counselor proposed in a session.

You can add your own kind with "Add a kind": a label, and whether it is something that happened.

Who writes an entry

The guide proposes an entry in your own words, with one to three exact quotes from this space. The quotes are checked against the conversation by code, not by the guide; if they do not match, the card says "These words could not be matched in the conversation."

You can add entries yourself with Add inside each kind, dated events included. A counselor can propose an entry from their page, attributed by name. See Your counselor.

Confirm, Edit, Decline

A proposed entry shows Confirm to anyone who has not confirmed it yet, Edit inline (after an edit, everyone confirms again), and Decline. Declining asks no reason, and the entry comes off the record for everyone. The guide never learns who declined.

A commitment or a plan is confirmed, edited, declined and released by its owners only. See Commitments, plans and check-ins.

Bring this up and Release

A confirmed entry shows Bring this up: it enters the conversation as a card and the guide answers. It also shows Release: the entry comes off the record, and its history stays.

Every change is a dated row. Nothing is overwritten.

Stances on events

An event carries a date, or a range, and each person's stance: Over it, Still with me, Not sure, or In my own words. A stance is one person's, dated and append-only, and the whole space can see it: "since" a date, "changed 2x", with the history on tap. Nobody confirms anyone else's stance, and the guide never infers one. The guide in the shared room reads stances and may name one plainly; it never asks anyone to change a stance in front of the others.

In your private room, the guide may ask once if tonight sounds different from a stance you left, and writes a new one only on your answer.

Cards and movement

Every entry the guide touches shows in the thread as a card with a button for each person, updated live for everyone and in the Record section of Our mirror. Declined and released rows leave the card.

Every entry carries a plain line computed from its history: "moved 3 days ago", "nothing since Oct 12", "came back twice". It is a fact about dates, never a verdict.

Waiting on you

The Shared room bar shows "N to confirm". A new proposal pushes "Something to confirm in" your space to the other members, once per member per space per day, and the morning message repeats it on days 1 and 2, then every seven days while it waits.
