What HeartWeave stores, how it is protected, what other members can and cannot see, and how deletion works.
HeartWeave only works if you can be honest in it. That takes privacy you can trust. Here is what's kept, how it's protected, and what other people in your space can and cannot see.
Your private room is yours alone
Everyone in a space gets a private reflection room. What you write there is private and confidential. No other member of your space can ever read your private room. Not your partner, not a family member, not anyone. It's a place to think, vent, and prepare, without an audience.
The Mediator in your shared space holds context from both sides so it can help fairly, but it never leaks one person's private words to another. For exactly what can and can't cross that line, see The wall between private and shared.
What HeartWeave keeps
To help you over time, HeartWeave keeps your conversations and the reflections it builds from them, like the nightly weaving that turns your talks into a running picture of your relationship. Your private Relationship Map is yours alone to read. The shared Relationship State is the member-safe view everyone in the space can see. This is what lets HeartWeave get wiser the longer you use it.
How it's protected
Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We do not sell your personal data. Access to the systems that hold your conversations is limited and controlled.
Closing your account and deletion
You can close your account whenever you want. When you do, your data is queued for deletion, completed within 90 days as described in the privacy policy. You can also email [email protected] to request deletion, and we'll take care of it.
Keep in mind that a shared space holds more than one person. Your own private room is yours to remove, but the shared history of a relationship involves everyone in it. If you have questions about what happens to a shared space when you leave, write to us and we'll walk you through it.
A note on what HeartWeave is for
HeartWeave is a companion for reflection and communication. It is not therapy, medical care, or a crisis service, and it isn't a place to store things you'd need to prove or recover later. Treat it as a private practice, not a legal record.
